Strawberries and Cream Banana Bread

I was visiting the blog of one of your new readers and found this recipe. It sounded so good I just had to make it today. Everyone loved it.

1 cup plain flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 white sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs
1/2 low-fat sour cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3 mashed bananas
1 cup chopped strawberries

In a mixing bowl, mix the flour, baking soda and baking powder together. In another bowl, cream together butter and sugars. Then add eggs, vanilla, sour cream and mashed bananas and mix thoroughly. Stir in the chopped strawberries. Slowly add the flour mixture into the wet ingredients, stirring well as you go. Pour the mixture into your prepared loaf pan and bake at 350F for about an hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool for 10 minutes in the loaf pan before removing and placing on a wire cooling rack to completely cool.
